About Us

Welcome To Neuro Unity

We exist to promote and champion neuroinclusion.

Who We Are

Neuro Unity is a not for profit organisation built to promote and champion neuroinclusion, bringing every aspect of neurodiversity together in one place and leading on a consistent approach to training and awareness.

Founded by Lisa Ventura MBE FCIIS based on her lived experience as a neurodivergent person (diagnosed with austim, ADHD, dyspraxia and dysacalculia), we are a blended team of neurodivergent and neurotypical people. Some of us including our Founder, have spent a lifetime being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world, learning to mask, adapt and make ourselves smaller in order to fit. Others bring decades of experience supporting neurodivergent people and their families. All of us have advocated and campaigned at local and national level, across the third sector, government commissioned contracts and private enterprise.

That mix is deliberate. Neuroinclusion is not something neurodivergent people can achieve alone, and it is certainly not something that can be designed for them without them.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a neuroinclusive world where neurodivergent people are empowered, understood and supported across every aspect of life. We work with government, healthcare bodies and the NHS to raise the visibility of neurodiversity and to campaign for policy and practice that genuinely reflects how neurodivergent people live, learn and work.

We are led by people with lived experience, because nothing about us should happen without us. Our team brings together neurodivergent and neurotypical people, and that blend is deliberate. It keeps our work grounded in everyday reality, and it means the change we push for is change that people genuinely need, in the workplace, in healthcare and in education.

Our Vision

To bring everything neurodiversity related together under one roof. Information about neurodiversity is scattered, contradictory and often written by people who have never lived it, and the cost of that falls on the people who can least afford to carry it. We want a single place where a newly diagnosed adult, an exhausted parent or an employer who genuinely wants to get it right can find what they need without having to fight for it.

Beyond that, we want neuroinclusion to be understood as everyone’s business rather than a minority concern, accessibility to be built in rather than bolted on, and neurodivergent voices to be present wherever decisions are being made about neurodivergent lives.

What We Believe

Everything we do comes back to three things.

nothing about us without us

Neurodivergent people lead this work. It is not done on their behalf.

understanding is not enough

Awareness that changes nothing is just noise. We are interested in what actually changes.

nobody should have to mask

No one should have to shrink, hide or fight to be understood in order to be accepted.
